6 Tips on Dealing with Stress



Stress. A very common problem in the society, but also the hardest one to avoid. In school, work, and wherever you are, stress is around.

Stress is dangerous. It can be the first sign of depression which make it even more dangerous. In able to prevent this, here are some tips on how to deal with stress.

1. Good time management

In school, projects, exams and quizzes pressure students. At work, reports, plans, etc. pressure employees and employers. These things won't stress you if you can finish it on time. It is the common source of stress anyway. By this, manage your time well and follow it strictly. It will help big time.

2. Keep yourself occupied

When facing a problem, people sometimes overthink. That's when you'll be stressed and eventually, be depressed. Keeping yourself occupied by cleaning, working, reading, and etc. will hinder you overthinking things.

3. Exercise

Exercising is not only good for the body. It's also good for our mental health. Aside from it boost one's confidence, it also keep you calm down when you are stressed on something.

4. Desserts

Desserts, the reversed spelling of stressed. It has been proved that sweets helps a person lift up his mood. When one consume some sweets like chocolates, our body secretes a chemical that calms us down. Sweets can also make a person hyper, improving his energy. It can be a good source of energy preventing us from feeling stressed and frustated.

5. Music

Have 5-15 minutes of listening music whenever you feel tired. Some people call it music therapy and it is a great help if a person is experiencing something bad. You can choose any genre that will make you calm down and can help you relax according to your mood.

6. Express yourself

Stress will make a person overthink. If you're not an open person, you should find a way in expressing yourself. May it be painting, dancing, drawing, and etc.. It will lessen the burden in you chest and will help you overcome stress.

Have your way in dealing with stress. Be patient with yourself. Be sure to not let yourself be lost because of too much thinking. Be strong. Our own self is our greatest enemy afterall.

Note: It is important to make yourself be calm in every situation. You must be wise in every decision as you need to take the consequences no matter what. If you can't handle it alone, find support from your family. If worst comes, better visit a doctor.
